Custom Options
What are the options for customizing a Murphy bed for your home? Nearly every detail is available as a custom option. These are the features you can change to your liking:
- Style of cabinetry (contemporary, traditional, transitional, etc.) – choose the crown molding, feet, doors and panel style.
- Wood finish (light or dark, painted or stained)
- Wood type (Alder wood is standard, but some wall beds are available in Maple, Oak or Cherry)
- Size of cabinet
- Shelves and/or drawers
- Hardware (drawer pulls, hinges, etc.)
- Lighting
- Power supply
- Size of bed (twin to California King)
- Side cabinets or not
- Functionality of side cabinets (closet, file cabinet, display, storage, etc.)
- Desk or not
- You can even include a pet bed area!
What you can’t change is the quality of each piece we create. All our wall beds are crafted from solid wood and plywood, sturdily built, made to last and safely installed.
How to Order a Custom Wall Bed
The first step is to determine your needs and the amount of space available. We encourage you to meet with our designer, who will listen to your list of wants and needs and then offer suggestions for a custom wall bed design that incorporates the purpose your wall bed needs to serve.
The next step is an in-home appointment, where our designer takes exact measurements and ensures that your wall bed can be safely attached to the wall.
Our design team creates a set of 2D and 3D graphic renderings of your custom piece. This is the time to ask for changes, if desired. When you love it, we get right to work bringing your dream to life.
Finally, your completed wall bed arrives and is safely and professionally installed by our local installation team.
The end result? You are the proud owner of a finely crafted wall bed in the style of your choice, designed specifically to satisfy your needs and wants.
